Things are pretty quiet

It has been over a week since my last post.....nothing new/exciting has happened. We are in a deep freeze (minus 47 degrees celcius with the windchill) and no one, two-legged or four-legged wants to leave the house. The good news is that Ebony and I are going to be flying to Los Angeles to attend ClickerExpo. It is bound to be a little warmer there. She will be sitting with me in the airplane cabin so I am hoping she will be on her best behaviour. We will have a 2 hour stop-over in Calgary....so it will be close to a 7 hour trip without a potty break. I'm sure Ebony will make us very proud.

Princess and the Pea

It is Sunday morning so that means it is time to clean the house. I stacked all three dogs beds together so that I could carry them outside and give them a good shaking to get rid of some of the dog hair before I vacuumed. Before I had a chance to grab the stack, Ebony decided that it was just perfect for her to make a nest in. It was so cute that I just had to take some pictures. When I was done I had to coax her to leave her new found "throne". While I was busy with Ebony, Tango seized her opportunity to get nice and comfy too.

She is back in school again!

On Friday, Ebony made a visit to Ms. Santrock's kindergarten class at Elmer Gish School in St. Albert. The class knew that Ebony was not used to being around small children so they were on their best behavior. They all lined up and each student gave her a treat. So far we have been to a kindergarten, grade 1 and grade 5 class.....I guess that just leaves 10 more grades and we're done.

Ebony visits Norwood School

For the last couple of years a group of my co-workers have collected money to help support the grade one class at Norwood School. We ensure that they have a delicious pizza lunch, cake and ice cream and Santa Claus hand delivers a gift to each child. Part of the tradition also includes that I bring my current foster puppy. This year Ebony and her Dad Wally visited Ms. Navrot's classroom and Ebony showed how she can pick things up to assist someone with a physical disability.

Happy Birthday....

Ebony is five months old today. She is looking so mature and the resemblance to her older sister Charly is uncanny.

Besides basic obedience skills, she has learned some things to help her in her future role of guide or service dog.

Ebony has an official calendar

I wanted to give the folks at Dacro Industries something to show my appreciation for their sponsorship of Ebony so I made them an official EBONY 2008 calendar.
